In order to avoid helping me, the teller questioned my immigration status and asked me to go home to retrieve my physical passport when I simply asked to open an account. Sure it was near closing time and I understand wanting to leave early. Extremely terrible experience. My card is stuck in the ATM that malfunctioned mid-way and the online representative provided minimal assistance by advising me to report lost immediately without providing alternatives. This leads to significant inconveniences caused by the technical error that's literally Scotiabank's incapability of machinery maintenance. Really terrible experience. However, one assistant in this branch was polite, so 2 stars.
I wanted to leave a review to for the best customer service representative I’ve ever been helped by, Sharon. She was so helpful and kind and went above and beyond helping me with a unique situation. I had such a positive experience here thanks to her. Thank you!!
