I just want to say I went into my Scotia branch with low expectations as I find banks these days push you to use the apps and online, but that experience is poor, and also they cannot help you with everything. However, I had an appointment with Rakesh and from the moment we met I had a good feeling. Bright, helpful and knew what he was doing. He resolved all my questions, changes and updates. Went in there this morning to inquire about my bank account and what I can do to unfreeze it. The supervisor who was called to help was unnecessarily so rude. I don’t think telling your customer “your mom should’ve been the one to pay for school instead of giving you cheques” was a necessary comment to make especially when my family member is in the Philippines trying to help me. Word of advice? Maybe learn how to keep your rude thoughts to yourself.
I was on the phone with customer support for few minutes on Sunday trying to resolve a transaction issue, but it couldn’t be resolved. I decided to visit the branch, and Dale along with another associate, was able to assist me quickly and efficiently. They were professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful, making the process smooth and stress free.
Has anyone been able to call in to contact this bank directly? Tried calling and I just kept getting re-directed to the general Scotiabank line. The hours are also horrible.
