Was with scotiabank for years. Crazy that i was told to pay next months bill to close my account though. Glad I'm switching to a free account elsewhere.
Would give a zero star 3 times we have been in and all three time they messed it up, today asked for cash to deposited into joint chequing they confirmed the account and then put it into the person chequing. Don't use or join this bank they only hire the bottom of the barrel staff that other banks fire because they are to unskilled to do thier job right.
I had a very disappointing experience at this branch. I went to withdraw a large amount of money from my own account, and the way I was treated by the staff member at the counter made me feel like I was a criminal simply for accessing my own funds. I understand that banks have security procedures for large withdrawals, but there is a respectful and professional way to handle these situations. My 72 year old father in law just came back from this location, to be told the branch is closed. No explanation, no nothing. Just told that they won't be open until Tuesday. Its the end of July, the last "business" day at this branch for the week and rent/mortgages are due. What is he supposed to do, tell the landlord/mortgage company that they don't get paid until Tuesday??? This branch is a joke of a branch.
