Had our Mortgage set up by a brokerage through Scotiabank and haven’t been overly impressed so far with them as a whole. Was supposed to have a phone appt with Densay on Thursday before the long weekend, when the time came for the appt he never called. Scotiabank cancelled the appt without emailing or notifying in any way. These people (Agent & Manager) thought I was homeless because I came in covered in drywall dust (doing a reno) looking to open a new account. I provided all documentation required but they declined to open me a new account. I took it all the way to the top, they protected their own, apparently they can deny anyone at their discretion (DISCRIMATION). Their loss, my wife and I had just sold our home and were looking to move all our money over from RBC. Bad management, at least one awful teller that actively discriminate people... read more
