Horribly customer service at Fernie branch!!!! When you leave a couple messages for someone to call you back regarding your account and no one even tries to get back to you. Then you send a direct and urgent email and then someone finally phones you back telling you that the bank doesn’t want our business because we were abrupt and upset.
I do not recommend doing business with Scotiabank’s Fernie branch. First, the financial advisor provided false information to convince us to open an account with them. After days of back and forth emails to open the account, I was informed that the account would incur ridiculous fees so the account was left dormant for months. Later, a single transaction of ~$300 of groceries was purchased and the bank fees are more than $200! Be sure to read the fine print people, don’t trust the “customer service” to help you.
