I am new in Hamilton and I think in Hamilton, banks treat all people like criminals. In this branch they gave me a real hard time to process my cheque. They asked every conceivable questions like a criminal court just for a small amount cheque I got from the real estate and I had deposited in another branch in Toronto. I told the teller why are you bothering so much and wasting an hour? She left the counter and refused to serve me. They never call anymore ....
Not a fan. Staff gave me attitude while asking me questions to confirm my identity. I have banked with Scotia for years and now they cannot confirm my identity for some reason. Also why bother go through all this identity verification to pick up a credit card at the bank and get harassed when I can just get it mailed to my home? Customer service needs to be improved.
