I went into this branch to pay off a line of credit and a visa as a condition of a new mortgage. The teller was incompetent and did not know how to do this. Instead of admitting this, she told me this was impossible. I then went to another branch and they were able to do it for me with no issues. The teller extremely rude and unprofessional; the person in front of me was trying to increase the limit of e-transfers on a business account and she asked him all of his security questions loud enough for everyone in the bank to he... read more

I've been banking with Scotia for 20 years. My mortage is through them as well. I went in to talk to a financial advisor and he wouldn't even give me the time of day. Basically just blew me off and as like can't help sorry. I found another company who's willing to help me. When I told the other company that Scotia wouldn't help me out he was extremely shocked. ill be refinancing my mortage with another company and seriously contemplating leaving Scotia all together
