Bad experience with Kamal Batth on this branch. We went there two Saturdays ago for a credit card change and she said I should be receiving a form to e-sign by Tuesday. It's almost 3 weeks now and I haven't heard back from her. No update or form for me to e-sign. Morevover, when you call the branch or main hotline, it is almost impossible to reach the appropriate advisor, the system would ask you to type the first or last name but your options are just the numpad, the multi-tap type of entry does not work as well. Terrible experience with Kamal and the management team, wanted to access my funds for my university education and started the process a month and a bit in advance. Now I am not going to have the funds I need since she has neglected to respond to any emails up until the last minute or after we have contacted the branch manager. At first it took three weeks to get a response back about whether or not I was able to withdrawal from the account and another two to organize when I could receive a draft for the account. Update: the edit is dedicated to Ade, the most amazing and careful employee of the branch. So many things needed to improve in the SB, but Ade gives a hope that the SB is not so hopeless. He helped to investigate the SB mistake and apparently did it in after hours. Bravo Ade, employees like you is a rarity now and we sincerely grateful for your dedication and diligence. Scotiabank is, without question, the most incompetent and frustrating bank I’ve ever dealt with. Every visit is a nightmare. They almost never have more than one teller working, no matter how long the line is — and yes, expect to wait at least an hour every single time. It’s like they go out of their way to make banking as miserable and inefficient as possible. Cannot speak to a financial adviser and make an appointment through 1800 number. I was declined for an appointment! Considering the amount of $$ in have at this bank that is incredible!! Will be moving all my $ to a different bank.
