Very disappointing experience. I applied online for a business credit card and was instructed to visit the branch only to verify my documents. Instead, I spent over an hour there and my request was misunderstood. I then tried calling the branch and waited for hours. When I was finally connected, the call was affected by technical problems on their side — they said their equipment was not working properly — and the call was disconnected. No one called me back afterward. Extremely poor communication and customer service.
Avoid this branch they have zero customer skills . Ms. Jenka the assistant manager is useless as a pile of bricks. They won’t help you. This is the 2nd time I asked them for something simple and they messed it up. They will also make things extremely complicated for no reason.
This branch is pointless. The ATM seems to only be available when the branch is open. Lol. There are a couple of staff members there that should appear as though they don't hate their life. The Scotiabank in Kensington is possibly more pointless. They don't even have tellers and same ATM issue. My Scotia Visa credit limit was dropped from 2500 to 500 because I was a couple days late on a $10 payment on a balance of $50. They wouldn't do anything about it. Paying 16.95 for service this poor just isn’t worth it. I closed my account a week into the month and they still charged me the full monthly fee. The customer service is terrible and the phone wait times are around two hours. It is no surprise that no fee digital banks are taking over, especially when you can get savings accounts that at least keep up with inflation. Meanwhile, Scotiabank thinks giving you half a percent does anything for your money.
Manager is rude and sexist. Call center gives you different information than the branch and then ignores the call center asking them to help you.
