Be careful to use their services. I followed the bank’s rules and kept the required balance in my checking account specifically to avoid monthly fees — yet they charged me anyway. And instead of taking responsibility, they had the nerve to warn me that if I managed to catch their “system error” within a month, they might refund the fee. Otherwise, I’d just be stuck with it. Update: been going here for a few years now and I’ve seen much improvement. The tellers have been very friendly and helpful and advisers available when needed. Lots of turnover in advisors but I’m happier so I went from 1 to 5 stars but now I am back to 3 stars. My problem with Scotia is every time I go on the bank website there is something I need that is "not available at this time". It is very frustrating.
