I recently had a disappointing experience at the Scotiabank Yorkton branch. I had to visit the front desk for assistance, and unfortunately, the customer service was far below expectations. The employee at the front desk was unhelpful, seemed uninterested in assisting me, and was even curt in their responses. Instead of providing clear guidance or offering solutions to my queries, I was met with an attitude that made the entire experience frustrating and time-consuming. Such a terrible experience. Waited half an hour just to increase my daily trasfer limit and the lady in the front desk couldn't do it saying that it's not possible. I had to call customer service to increase it and they said the bank can even increase the limit permanently. The lady asked me a thousand questions about the money that I have in my account like I have stolen it from somewhere. I will never ever recommend Scotiabank to anyone.
I’ve been with Scotiabank for 18 years and had great experiences with the Brandon location. Last week I went and asked what the best method of payment was for a private sale on a vehicle. They said bank draft. I asked the purchaser to pay with one and when I went to cash it to purchase my replacement vehicle they put a 5 day hold on it and said it’s policy. I then asked cibc in yorkton who printed the bank draft I cashed if they provided proof of funds could they (Scotiabank) release the hold. He confirmed that they can. Sco... read more
