i don't recommend using scotia bank canada for any banking whatsoever. i believe this bank is a security risk as my card was apparently hacked and it was very difficult for me to recover the funds. to clarify it was a card that was never ever used given there should be no reason that information could be stolen but apparently was. after this incident i continued to use scotia banks services i later cancelled some of my services where they then tried to charge me for something that was not valid or applicable. numerous phone ... read more
I deposited a little over $5000 of cash to my account and was asked 5 times by 3 people where I got the money and then was asked twice for supporting proof Canada’s regulation states all amounts near or above $10,000 must be reported not half of that amount. I frequently buy / sell vehicles, motorcycles etc and have never been asked more than once where the money came from let alone asked to provide “proof” … asking once is okay but asking multiple times is interrogating I found it unprofessional, rude and disorganized im al... read more
