Never get a straight answer from them, one clerk tells you one thing, and then the next clerk the next visit tells you no that is not how it is. You never know what is going on. They push you out as fast as they can even if there is only 1 customer in the building besides you. The call time is a joke. You can't call to connect or talk to anyone locally. Incompetent and unprofessional. Long story short, the bank made a mistake - which they admitted to - by taking money out of the wrong account. Instead of taking accountability, their response was basically "Sorry, but this happened because you have a joint account, why do you have that?" Joint accounts are needed for a variety of reasons and you should not be criticizing customers for having one. I understand that mistakes happen, but do not blame the client for a mistake your teller made. This cost myself and my proxy both ... read more
tried to phone this branch . was told that wait time for someone to answer phone was 45 min. ridiculous!!!
If i could rate lower i would. If you need to open an account go else where scotia always puts my cheques on hold then they dont cover my bill payment even if there is money in savings... but i do "ADVISE" go elsewhere to open a bank account...
