I had a very disappointing experience at this branch. I already had an account, but I went in to update my status to a student account, since I was being incorrectly charged. Despite showing all the required documentation my enrolment email, student ID, and report card the customer service representative refused to help me. He was very unhelpful and made the process unnecessarily frustrating. I expect better service and efficiency, especially when dealing with student accounts.
Anchal was extremely helpful and professional throughout my interaction at Scotiabank. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated her patience, knowledge, and willingness to answer all my questions. Overall, it was a great customer experience thanks to her excellent service.
The Columbia location will be closing as of March 11,2027. This branch is not equipped with educated staff to handle anything but their coffee breaks or give each other shoulder massages, which are seen as more important than customer service. Save yourself the headache and go to another bank.
Always long line up, feel bad for the tellers as well not their fault but management should do something about this. If you planning to visit this branch make sure atleast give an hour.
Their ABM machine is 9 times out of 10 OUT OF ORDER! Grossly unreliable. I genuinely don’t feel safe having my money with this bank. There were times when I really needed access to getting cash, my own money! And couldn’t withdrawal. From personal experience this has been going on for years. Totally unacceptable.
