First off, this branch has always been very good in my opinion. Fast service, pleasant staff, never had any problems. Unfortunately, the higher-ups at ScotiaBank don't seem to think their customers care about having physical locations. Apparently this branch is closing soon and the one in my hometown of Annapolis Royal closed in March of 2024. Now if I want to do something as simple as withdrawing some cash I have to drive 40 minutes to Digby...which is always very busy thanks to all of these stupid closures.
I will NEVER deal with ANY Scotia bank again. On 3 different occasions, I deposited a bank draft and was told there would be a 5 to 10 day hold on the funds. The draft was written on another scotia account! A bank draft is not like a personal cheque! It is a funds guaranteed draft that should be instantly accessible. So I slowly stopped using my scotia account for my banking needs, and they raised my monthly rates and even raised my credit card rates!
