Bank machine at this branch never works
Had to drive 5 hours to close my account. Apparently you can buy a home with your phone but to close a account you have to be there in person. The Scotiabank in Trail is closed Saturday as well as Cranbrook and Nelson. Didn't want to take off work as I just started a job. The bank representative was very nice and professional and closed my account quickly so I could drive another 5 hours to get home.
I went into the bank on June 30th, the day before Canada Day, the last day of the controversial "Pride Month". There were Pride flags littering the bank, however, not ONE Canadian flag. I mentioned this to the teller, how I am a proud Canadian and simply could not believe there was not even one Canadian flag to celebrate "Canada DAY", when they celebrate Pride MONTH with their flags everywhere
I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at the Scotiabank branch located at Kelowna Lakeshore. I visited the branch to close my account, which I no longer need. To my surprise, I was told that I would need to pay a monthly fee just to close the account, and that I couldn’t close it over the phone with customer service.
