The tellers in general are great for as long as they last .The " investment advisors " estate department and other management seem very intentionally unavailable to us plebs .When I discovered that new customers get 5 % interest on a savings account but apparently those of us who have been with them for decades don't I was miffed to say the least. Complete incompetence from Scotia via phone support and lakeshore branch. Spent several hours by phone and hobbling on 1 foot to the lakeshore branch. Both sides tell me to speak to the other side. Noone is listening or resolving my issue. Ive been left traumatized by Scotia.
Arrived at this scotia bank at 11 am . Door would not open. Line p of about 6 people outside. No signs except a "closed good friday". No one knew why door was locked.. went around to side, could see employees inside. Knocked on window, was ignored..to the point of a couple walking by commented on the obvious "back turn i'm ignoring you". Very poor experience. Went online for a loan and was directed to make an in branch appointment. Went in only to be told they do not do in branch loans for automobiles. Gave a card to direct me to the proper channels only to be told they do not do that(loans). So they transfer this call to another person who was a personal banking rep to be told again sorry not his department. Say to me he will transfer to the right department for the loan.
