Walked in on a Saturday to apply for a LOC in person, asked for a financial advisor but got the teller, Rajpreet instead. Thought it was strange, but I figured maybe she had the training and authority for it, so I allowed her to do her thing. She went through the exact same online application I already did at home—the one that got rejected—so of course, I got rejected again. Got a card at this branch and somehow I had late fees, interest charged on late fees all before I even received the card. And no the people there could not help and I was further questioned sarcastically by Tess about if I had the same knowledge as the general public about making payments on time. Its outrageous how this bank continues to make money off its customers and make it feel like a privilege to talk to the front desk. Canceled my card, no thank you Scotiabank
This branch is a continuous disappointment. There is always issues and mistakes whether it’s missing foreign currency, documentation or input errors on their behalf. I can’t think of a time when I’ve gone in and something has gone completely right. Ive avoided entering at all costs and try to do everything possible online, over the phone or at their atm. Will be switching banks because the customer service has become unbearable and phone help using their 1-800 numbers is hardly better, if not worse.
