Went in today to exchange CAD to USD. The teller Theresa greeted me with a bright frown and yelled at me to reinsert my card… the whole interaction was uncomfortable and seemed like I was dealing with a racist… I’ve been a client with Scotiabank for 23 years and initially she questioned if I was even a client… once I pulled out the card she yelled at me to reinsert it, are there no inside voices at the bank? you wont accept legal tender (100s) in exchange for 20s to non-customers... Absolutely useless Bank
Impossible to reach the bank by phone. Nobody answers when u r transferred in or the vm is full. Brutal. Offered a line of credit and went thru the steps. Drop down box asked what I would use it for and gave 5 or 6 options. Investing...emerg funds and a few others. I chose emerg funds. It was attached to my account as an investment fund account lol. Worst customer service ever. I have been with Scotia bank for almost 6 years now and I have never had such bad customer service experience. Tone of voice was rudest ever. Thankfully , I closed the account with this bank and will never be returning. I will not be yelled at things that are not in my hands or disrespected any ways.
