I’m currently in another province trying to get ahold of the Yellowknife branch. They do not believe in answering phones or calling back. I’ve left several voicemails with no luck! Very unhelpful and frustrating.
Scotiabank's been a huge disappointment for me. After 8 years, I’ve decided to part ways with this bank. Their credit cards can be used anywhere and by anyone - except by the actual cardholder. Despite charging an annual fee, they take months to issue a simple $20 credit, leaving customers to face the consequences. The customers are helping them build an empire, but they fail to protect your money and DO side with criminals. Simply put, they cannot safeguard your finances!!!
How is it a bank can only be open from 12:30pm to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; and be closed on Wednesdays?? It's like you do not want our business.
I had a terrible experience—they booked a meeting with an advisor who doesn’t even work at that bank! I’m honestly at a loss for words.
The investment advice I got from one of the advisors here was the following "You should open a FHSA and put $24,000 in it today" I pointed out that that's illegal and basically he goes "Oh yea you're right my bad". Next time I tried to book an appointment with them they booked me with a woman who was on vacation. When they re-booked me for an appointment later on they had to cancel that too because they accidentally booked me with an advisor that wasn't licensed to do what the entire point of the appointment was for.
