I am very disappointed and fed up with the branch in Oxford. I had received a check this morning from elections nova scotia and went to the branch to cash the cheque's. The teller working was extremely rude and the gentleman I assume assistant manage was just as rude. Told me couldn't cash the cheque's there and gave no explanation why. I said I was fed up with the Scotiabank they said we'll go to another bank than. ...I have used this bank all summer. I deposit my savings, and cheques. They started holding my cheques for about a week before depositing them. The bank the cheques were wriiten from is only 20-28km away. They could simply call to verify the funds were there to know if the check was good. Very difficult to do business with a bank with a ludicrously slow verification process. I will be looking for a better Canadian bank.
The tellers stop serving customers at 3:00 p.m. at this branch and not 4:00 p.m. as stated by Scotiabank in the review.
The staff at Scotia bank in Oxford are so intellectual and cooperative. They start mingle with people so easily by delivering funny jokes.
The navy bean an gofer soup served here is very tasty. You should try it if you are in town!
