Called in to take advantage of there (High Interest Savings Account) .. was met with the most standoff-rude and condescending lady on the phone. Who does Scotiabank's hiring at this location? Firstly, the lady I spoke with had no clue what she was talking about. It was literally a waste of time to even dial this branches phone number to ask a question. Tried calling bank manager 6 times now and left msgs and nothing back from anyone at the cranbrook branch
I have been a scotiabank customer for over 30 years. I have been going to this branch for 12 years. Truly, it is one of the worst banks I have been to. My initial star rating was 5, and it has dropped to one over the last few years. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen. The tellers do no great you or make eye contact. They are always a few minutes late opening their branch. I have had tellers tell me, no I can't count your change, do it yourself. Went to Cranbrook branch (my bank) with a certified bank draft to try and pay off my truck. They proceeded to tell me there is a hold for my certified draft. I'm ok with policies but after calling the Scotia call center they were telling me its the banks discretion. I've never missed any kind of payment in decades and my payroll goes into this branch bi weekly for years.
