We had the most amazing trip on the Schooner American Eagle for their "Unscripted Adventure" six night cruise. Captain Tyler made sure we had good sailing everyday -- even the one day it rained was fabulously relaxing! Captain Tyler led a crew of remarkable young people with a quiet confidence that was a pleasure to see. My husband and I just concluded our first windjammer cruise on American Eagle with Captain Tyler and crew. What a delightful experience! The schooner was in immaculate condition, and her crew was outstanding. The combination of the beauty of Penobscot Bay, the amazing meals, and the professionalism of the crew made for a great trip. We highly recommend this unique travel experience.
Just returned from a fabulous 5 day sail on the American Eagle that included music by Reese Fullmer and elements of his Carriage House band. The “Eagle” is beautifully maintained and commanded by Captain Tyler. His crew of Elias, Lily and Lily supported by the kitchen staff of Marty and Jake were friendly, helpful and fun.
