Avoid SchoolsFirst like the plague. Go to a standard mainstream bank and you'll be treated with more empathy; moreover, they don't pretend to be "person to person" (like this mission statement claims) so it's less of a lie. I was a new schoolteacher when SchoolsFirst reps came to our campus pitching a 0% “school supplies” loan for $1,000. I took it, assuming a mission-driven credit union for educators would pair empathy with competence. Terrible phone service. Waiting on hold for over an hour with a maddening tape that repeats "how important the call is to them".
Our Bank Teller today was Joanna she helped my brother and I with our visit she was really friendly and helpful made us feel very welcomed and and handled our visit with care and smiles. ☺️ Thank you Joanna for ALL your help in answering all of our questions & concerns THANK YOU!
