Vanessa Duran with customer service was absolutely outstanding to work with as this was my first time taking on a project of converting old slides into digital photos. Vanessa is very patient. She helped me combine 3 different orders to ease the invoicing for our office bookkeeper and explained the process over the phone with me and followed up promptly to any emails. ScanCafe digitized 35 old films, including 8 mm films from the 1960s and VHS from the 1990s. The quality of the digital files is high and the materials returned to me in great condition, very well packaged. I would recommend their services.
I've used them maybe a half dozen times over the last 10 years to scan in a large archive of family photos. Originally I was impressed with the quality. Im a professional photographer and while I didn't expect high end professional results they were good... exactly what I hoped for at the price point. The quality has deteriorated somewhat over the years. I just got a batch of print scans back and was less than impressed.
