ScanCafe did an amazing job by communicating to me at various times. This is precious and you want to know what is happening. I sent 600+ pictures, from the 70’s to 80’s. When they received them they communicated. When they started scanning them, they communicated. When they finished, they communicated. They allow you to look at every picture online to sign off on the quality. ScanCafe did a great job of digitizing some old slides that I had, however, I was unhappy with their options for sharing the photos. Given the pricing, the cheapest option was their cloud storage. Although I was assured that one could cancel at any time, there are NO instructions on how to cancel the subscription on their website. (I don't think the word "cancel" appears anywhere on their site.). They also don't provide access to your billing information to stop the automatic payments. Not a good look.

This is an excellent service. ScanCafe scanned all of my APS-C and Standard 35mm negatives in no time at all and delivered the scans promptly with no issues. The quality of the images was top-notch and all of the originals were treated well and returned safely. Highly recommended.

Scan Cafe has helped me securely save and organize all of those thousands of photos that I have for 3 generations of my family. I am so happy that the photos are no longer degrading on a daily basis and they are preserved digitally for generations to come.

I have used ScanCafe 7 different times to scan thousands of prints, slides, and negatives. Obviously I would use them again. The price is very good. (Be sure to watch for sales, which can save you a lot.) The processing time is adequate. With the large number of scans that I have ordered it is not surprising that there were a few mistakes (e.g. weird auto-color enhancement, cropped photo, missing scan).
