Went for a birthday party. Super cute. It’s warm so make sure you aren’t wearing a sweater . The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The massive turtles love to get their backs rubbed .

I stopped here on my way into town, looking to pass some time before my check in for Airbnb. I didn’t reserve online as I wasn’t sure when I was going to get there, but they let me do a walk in tour since they had availability. Austin was my guide and did an awesome job, and I appreciate that you can tell he’s passionate about the animals there and what he does. My friend and I drove over 4 hours to Scales and Tails for my birthday, and it was worth every minute! I’ve always had a big fear of reptiles, but I wanted to finally overcome it. Reilly was incredibly kind and patient with me, and the entire staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely love the animals and what they do. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you.
