Attorney Sawin and his law firm really treated me like family during the trying time of my divorce. Very satisfied with my experience with Sawin Law. I worked with both Chris Sawin and Hayley Jellison, both of whom were exceptionally professional. Hayley was my primary contact, and she was well versed with the history and nuances of my child support adjustment case. Having Chris Sawin participate in the negotiations was also hugely helpful, especially since it concerned military pay and his experience as a Marine Corps veteran helped save me the expense and hassle of having to explain the nuances of that system. Expected better communication. I ended up switching lawyers because of a 10 to 14 day silence with multiple attempts to reach out. Perhaps, this was too harsh of me, but it was not the experience I expected or wanted, especially since it was my first time in family court. However, he did send me my retainer back and seems like a nice guy.
Chris has helped me with a full package Estate Plan. He assisted me in every step of the way, as true dedicated professional! I can’t speak highly enough of him and his firm!
The lawyer I originally signed with left the firm. After that, it felt to me as if I slipped through the cracks. My new lawyer never met with me prior to a court hearing and based on questions he asked that day, made me feel as if he was unprepared for my case and wasn’t familiar with the details of my case. The result of the hearing was that I was ordered to pay an exorbitant amount of support. The “solution” to rectify what I feel was a mistake on their part cost me 10k and ended with same result.
