I stayed at Santosha to check it out for hosting my own private retreat there. I was truly impressed by the venue, food and hospitality and can't wait to host my retreat there in August.
Santosha is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the small Maine town of Kingfield, this inn and retreat center is the perfect place to go to pull away from the hustle and bustle of life and to reconnect. Comfortable beds, good food, and common spaces that encourage conversation. The yoga room and the teachers really enable you to clear your mind and slow down. The healing arts treatments are fantastic. I will be back!
We came to Santosha at Hillholm to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary with a yoga and wellness retreat and left feeling completely restored. From the moment we arrived, Sarah at reception set the tone with a warm welcome and a property tour that made us feel immediately at home. Avoid this place. The bartender offered everyone except me one more drink as he was closing, then disappeared to make a phone call. I figured he forgot to ask me and had planned to order something after his call. When he returned he started talking about how he practices enforcing boundaries by saying no when people ask for cocktails after closing (and thanks to his phone call it was well after).
