Matthew at the Merrimack branch was so helpful and efficient when my partner and I showed up right before the bank closed to open 5 new accounts. He and the teller, Joy were a delight to work with despite working after hours. I emailed Matthew the next day asking for some documentation and he was able to get it to me before the end of business. Would definitely recommend Matthew and Joy at the Merrimack branch!
I've been with this bank since 1982. The bank was originally Bank one, Fleet, and then Sovereign, and now Santander bank. Through the years I have had only pleasant experiences.... until I went to the Nashua NH Northeastern Blvd branch. The tellers and the management at the Nashua NH branch are by far the most unprofessional people I have experienced in years, not just at a bank but over all public servants. Santander bank closed my account without any reason, causing two checks I sent to federal and state IRS to be bounced. IRS assigned fees and penalties in the amount of $200+ and when I asked Merrimack branch manager Lis Espinal about possibility of reimbursement, she flatly refused and threatened to call the police if I don't leave after I asked her if I should file a claim in a Small Court.
Once they were bought out by Santander most if not all the people were replaced. Now after years of knowing the staff it's like going to a new bank. Also at times when I have need to go into the bank I almost feel like I am bothering them. They don't seem as friendly or happy to see you. Thanks
