This monstrosity, the shopping mall, should be demolished. Whoever built it destroyed the heart of historic Santa Maria. The entire Heritage Square/Main Street area needs to be redesigned to accommodate (and encourage) pedestrian (and bicycle) use. Create a plaza/zocalo out of the square, preserve the historic buildings that exist, and plant trees, restoring the avenue of trees that used to exist down the median of Main Street. Like other Malls across the country, this Mall doesn't have everything it used to offer. However, there are still stores, food, and a HUGE modern Movie theater. This Mall still has some of the oldies but goodies though. My Favorite being Hot Dog on a Stick. For those of you don't know...... GET SECURITY UP IN THE PARKING LOTS AT NIGHT THERES KIDS PARTYING DRINKING ACTING LIKE A NIGHT CLUB ON THE THIRD AND SECOND FLOOR WITH THERE DISCUSTING LOUD MUSIC ALL LOUD WINDOWS VIBRATING AND NOT A COP OR SECURITY ANYWHERE ITS TERRIBLE THIS IS SOPSE TO BE A FUN FAMILY SAFE ENVIRONMENT, BUT INSTEAD IT'S A NIGHTCLUB AT NIGHT IN THE PARKING LOT DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS
