If I could give the SB MTD service zero stars, I would. Terrible service is all I have to say. Ordered the MTD van to go to the Amtrak station in Goleta. The driver doesn't show up, and cancels ride at the time for which it was scheduled. I proceed to schedule at the same time again, and estimated pick up writes 10 minutes. Even though I was disappointed as the train was leaving in 20 minutes, I thought, okay I can still make it. Staff HQ and bus parking; not generally open to public except for Board of Directors meetings twice a month. Raised fares by 150% effective August 2025

All the "fun" parts of a bad public transit system. The busses are consistently late by at least 5 minutes. Unless you are actively staring at the bus driver before they pull up, they will skip the stop you are standing at as well. Sometimes, busses are either mislabeled or do not exist. It took me 10 minutes to realize that the 24x that skipped my stop was the 12x I was trying to board. Busses are also half an hour each, so when you experience a skip AND a nonexistent bus, say bye to an hour of your life. Some bus timings d... read more
