I was excited to work with them and after playing tag with their psychiatrist (who btw does not do medication management fyi) I was told after they reach out twice they do not reach out again. I did respond and didn't get an email back explaining this but it turns out you can only schedule an appointment via telephone (never through email) for whatever reason. No one told me this btw. I was found Sankofa through a list of providers who accepted Kaiser insurance. It didn't take particularly long to connect with my therapist who I've worked with for years now and have made great progress.
I had an evaluation with them I sent a request via website around a week ago then some one reach out to me and helped me with what I need in professional manner. I like the experience that I got through them with therapist her name Grecya Vidal Zavala.Thank You !
I'm having trouble getting services from Sankofa, to be specific with Femi and Ami. My son and I have disabilities and Iv been trying to get a social worker from Sankofa for about 4 months. I'm in Sanfrancisco and I was told by Sankofa that they are in the process of accepting my health insurance, Sanfrancisco health plan so Femi and Ami tells me to check back in 30 days. The therapist I had my initial intake with and was scheduled to begin sessions with cancelled working with me with less than 24 hours notice, citing an excuse that misinterpreted my words and was inaccurate. I was super disappointed!
