Sandy Spring Bank is a joke. I opened a new account and ordered checks that I hadn't received a month later. SS customer service said "well, it's kinda near the holidays so they'll probably show up sometime". I suggested they actually contact their provider for checks and get tracking info. Their next response was "well, they probably are lost so you'd better close your account and reopen a new one with a different number". WHAT??!! Been banking there 45yrs still happy
Will not assist a non-customer. I wanted to break a large bill, to avoid wiping out the cash register of one of the small businesses in the area. But this bank will not do that unless you are a customer. How ridiculous that my cash is no good at a bank...
