Absolutely horrifying experience. My mother was placed at this facility for what was supposed to be a very short stay while waiting for insurance approval to transfer to an acute care facility. From the moment she arrived, it was clear something was very wrong. Her roommate had to bring and help set up her CPAP and oxygen concentrator, and we were told there were only two staff members working in the entire building. Very friendly associates.. Most are extremely helpful and caring individuals.. Rooms are spacious and clean. Cafeteria is large and spacious. Patients may choose to eat here or get their meals delivered to their rooms. Unfortunately the choice's available on the order anything menu are quite difficult to obtain..I found that unfortunately that difficulty was very frustrating..

My sister is there and not receiving adequate care according to my family and their interactions. Admission director was not accurate in discussing amenities, care or staffing were unacceptable, room buzzer didn't work.; and beuracacy is over the top ...every request has to be approved... shower chair, bed rails, air mattress, etc...very frustrating

I checked out three other skilled nursing facilities before settling on Sandstone, and I'm so glad I did. Compassionate and caring nursing and CNA staff and communicative administration makes this facility one I am confident with my loved one stay while needing rehabilitative skilled nursing care. From kitchen to front desk, nearly every stay member has been kind and professional.
