Update: Increasing review from 3 to 5 stars due to the dedication to customer service and rectifying the issues with the chopping board. It was determined that the black stains weren’t mould as they wouldn’t have been removed via the treatment applied. They were more a chemical reaction due to the properties of the wood. Bought a herb board (white oak) and I wanted to love it but unfortunately it hasn’t stood the test. Upon washing it became really rough and unpleasant to use. They advised me of this but if I knew how rough it would have got, I would have reconsidered it. I’ve tried oiling it too. It has became a bit less rough over time but it has also developed black stains (I assume mould?) which won’t come out and has warped a little.
