My mom was sent here after a traumatic accident that damaged her back and brain. San Jose Gardens Memory Care was very supportive, kind and caring. My mother who has dementia has been cared for at San Jose Gardens for over a year. The facility is clean, bright and well maintained. The staff, physicians and medical director are attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, organized and kind. Updates on my mother's conditions are communicated to my family effectively. When I request help with her physicians report or other related medical documentation the facility responds quickly in a timely manner to have the forms completed. My mother spent some months here. The facility is very good for those with severe memory issues, not early stages in my opinion. The reason I gave 2 stars is because after paying 10’s of thousands over the months my mother stayed there, they have a policy that requires 30 day written notice to move your loved one. My mother moved out on march 31st which mind you, the cost per month is $7400 a month. They were told she was leaving on the 11th of March, but notified to the director on March 18th. San Jose Gardens is truly a safe place for those with memory care issues. They have excellent upper management in place with many years of experience. Both Gwen and Kathleen keep a sharp eye on any needs that come up with their residents. They are quick to respond to solve any issue, therefore, keeping the residents healthy and happy. You can feel confident placing your loved one in their care.
