Disclaimer: This review reflects my experience with Mike, a volunteer at the 601 Chestnut location in San Carlos, and does not reflect on the organization as a whole. My 80-year-old mother and I visited the Chestnut location food bank in San Carlos. Upon entering, I noticed there was no one in the area where the pre-packed groceries were. We hosted our wedding here in June of 2024. It was such a fantastic experience working with the community center as our venue - shoutout to Matt, Caitlyn, and Greg - who all helped make our complicated vision for a ceremony for 100 and a room flip full dinner reception come true! And it was affordable to boot, which is hard to come by in the Bay.
