Sam’s club optical is AMAZING!! Gary and Melissa are top notch!!! However their ophthalmologist Dr Moore is give less than a 1 star. My son was born premature at 1lb 2oz and had ROP ( too many blood vessels in the eye) pd extra for the scan which insurances don’t cover and he said he was perfect. Didn’t even need glasses. Fast forward a few month when he entered school they recommended an eye exam. Not only does he need glasses, his right eye is worse than the left. I'm convinced everyone in this location hates their job. The people working always seem so bothered if you ask a question or need help with something. They are also pretty inept at their job. They measured my pupil distance incorrectly two times and when my glasses were made incorrectly. The level of hassle and the snarky attitudes are not worth any of the potential cost savings to be had here.
The Doctor's office & the Vision Center inside are awesome for saving money. I have 2 teenage boys with no vision insurance so it helps us out a lot! They do have insurance on their glasses up to a year if they aren’t lost!
I got my eye's examined over the summer. I was told they did not have a card machine (which is fine). I paid in cash, but I did not get a receipt. I got my prescription and when I got home to order the glasses online, I realized that I could not read any of the writing. Even more frustrating, the office number on the prescription from the doctor was listed as a place in Tennessee and just crossed out.
