This location is okay, they'll do a decent job like most eye exam places. The only difference is they DO NOT want you buying glasses anywhere else, especially online, so they do not give you your pupil distance measurement on your prescription for "liability purposes". I've never had an eye doctor refuse to give this measurement before, and its usually on the prescription itself. Okay eye doctor but with predatory tactics.
Dr Krill is, as others have mentioned exactly what you want from an optimist. However, they won’t provide your pd number which not against FTC or HIPPA rules. It’s a mean thing to not give. PD is part of my diagnosis and I paid for a diagnosis.
I ordered 2 pairs of glasses 12 days ago, the first pair came in around the expected date. First pair was fine, script seems very accurate, fair pricing. Service was slow, but it finally got done. The second pair of sunglasses still not in. Called yesterday and they were going to check on them. Over two weeks and somehow they lost the order. Not sure how that happens when your a Walmart operation. I was informed that they had to place the order again and it will take another 10 to 14 days. Somewhat disappointing.
I've been coming here since we moved to Sarasota and the service has always been excellent. Dr. Krill is careful and exacting. While the department is always busy I have been pleased with the service.
I've been coming here for years. Dee and Dr. Krill always get me right. I've gotten my eye exam elsewhere ONCE and the prescription was wrong. Immediately once returning to Sams, Dee flagged my wrong prescription and went above and beyond to fit me in for a new eye exam as I have an upcoming trip, and accommodated me throughout. Dr. Krill is extremely professional and so are the rest of their team. Only optometrist I'll go to from now on as I've learned my lesson from straying.
