gates numbers are confusing. the low numbers A1 are farthest away. checking in upstairs then heading down for security. Very Very long walk to B gates. Upon arrival, baggage on arrival level then you have to navigate escalators or elevators to passenger pick-up. plan on 20 minutes to get to B gates once clearing security. very disappointing 😕
The design of this airport is simply awful. From over a mile walk to a gate to absolutely no signage directing you to where the off site parking pick up us. No transportation for people with handicaps. If this is the best SLC can do I suggest giving up!!!!!
SLC is just like any other airport. Unless you are a missionary family. If you are dropping off or picking up a missionary, be prepared to be shoved off to the side out of the way and be treated like trash. Disgraceful.
Make it less ugly!! Why can’t we have beautiful colorful artwork showcasing Utah’s natural beauty?! At least the old one had some amazing photos of Utah! Maybe if we spend another billion we can get some more ugly white wavy shelf things!
Just traveled to Jamaica on JetBlue on November 15th. About a 2 mile walk to my gate. No wheelchair or cart insight. Every thing was closedown At 10 pm. Should’ve left security in old section if we have to walk there anyway. Got back at almost midnight on the 24th of November another 2 mile walk to get luggage. Glad I had someone picking me up, because I hear the shuttles are about 2 miles more of a walk. Unless you are in peak physical condition, you are hosed. They did not consider people with bad joints, backs, or other walking issues because all you do is hike in this place. ugh.

What a fail with the new airport. Nothing innovative for the customer. They screw the customers using off-site parking by not allowing the shuttles to drop off where THEIR shuttles drop off. Nothing at all special. You’d think they would’ve looked at what other airports are doing to upgrade. Just a bigger airport now.
I’ve flown in and out of SLC several times for both international and domestic flights. It wasn’t until I flew in at 1 in the morning with a 9 month old baby on a cold November morning that I truly felt the caring service offered by those that work here. Our economy shuttle drove us straight to our stop. Unfortunately we got there just to find our car battery was dead.
