I didn't interact with Saline County's senior citizens, I was here to check out the old Saline County Courthouse, a big limestone Classical Revival block that still carries itself with that early twentieth century courthouse seriousness. Completed in 1911 and designed by the Salina firm Wilmarth and Zerbe, it has the tall columned east portico and heavy massing that counties all over Kansas favored at the time. Awesome facility where anyone can eat a hot meal from 11:15-1:15 pm Monday through Friday plus activities for seniors throughout the week.
