I had a very positive experience during my first visit to Saigon Market. I would not have known that the lycium berries were what I needed, listed in tonight's Ginseng Chicken Soup recipe as goji berries, if I did not receive such prompt and courteous assistance. Of course, I did find the ginger root, and I was especially thrilled to find gorgeous daikon, which I love in daikon-carrot refrigerator pickles, so easy to make and delicious! A small store but very large assortment of goods. Great prices compared to a lot of import markets. Awesome fresh section in the back of the store. Highly recommend for snacks and ingredients for meals.
