We were originally given a delivery window of 12-230. My wife rearranged her schedule to accommodate. Then we were sent a message saying ALL DAY APPOINTMENT. I called first thing and asked that the driver call me 1 hour prior in order to have someone there. They did not call. Next thing I know I received an email saying it had been delivered. Not sure if the driver took it upon themselves to ignore the call 1 hour prior or not. I am sure, however, that this is not how deliveries should be handled.
Saia is yet another crooked trucking company. We requested a liftgate at the pickup location, which didn't happen. They proceeded to charge the liftgate fee for both pickup AND delivery. They also decided to tack on a residential delivery fee, despite our warehouse being surrounded by other warehouses and businesses. Saia is focused on making as much money as possible off the customer and dares you to challenge them. Would highly suggest finding a different carrier!
