The claw machine was a bit hard, not for kids. Also it’s kind of glomy in there
Westland Market is a great place to go for last minute home needs. I have been there several times, the owner is super friendly and welcoming, besides having from time to time amazing Persian food. In this little store you can find any essential home supplies (sugar, coffee, onion, toothpaste, cat food, etc.) besides other dollar-store kind of items (office supplies, birthday cards, etc.). I bought this business couple of months ago for my clients, it was very old and outdated convenience store running by a lovely couple who were ready to get retired. I went to see how my clients are doing and got amazed by all the changes in just three months. What was wonderful was that they did not stop serving the neighborhood during all hard renovations. Now they are PROUD owners of Westland Market!
We moved into the area not long after the new ownership apparently took over, and they’ve been doing a really good job with the space. It’s taken a lot of work for sure. The selection of foodstuffs, household needs, treats, goodies, and the pool table + claw game make it feel like the kind of community markets I used to love going to in summer growing up in the 90s, which have slowly faded away as more corporations/chain stores took over. Love it here. Staff are super friendly :)
