I bought a weed eater from them not long ago and the battery already went out. They said they can't help me because I don't have the receipt. When I asked Kris from corporate to transfer me to her Superior she said she wouldn't and that this situation didn't call for that need. Don't buy from this company if you want your tools to have any longevity
Really poor customer service. I bought a electric cultivator thru Home Depot. When I arrived I put it together. But for one time wouldn't fit on correctly. Home Depot called and the guy at customers service said they don't make extra parts yet for this tiller as it's still new and told me to mail it back for a new one. It was already put together and won't be able to get back in the box. He said then to take it to some place that services them and maybe they can fix it. Terrible batteries!!! I called customer service for a batt replacement and i have to go through hoops to get it replaced. They dont even request the old battery back? Why should i dispose of such garbage products. Batteries are terrible! Their service reps ask me so many questions and policy states it must be with me not on me! I have the blower, heat gun and hedge cutter, ill never buy another ryobi again. I lost interest. Cheap , low quality and high priced tinklets. >:(
I purchased a Ryobi string trimmer based on reviews and previous experience with Ryobi power tools. Shoppers beware. The trimmer was used for limited personal use on average, once every two weeks during the Summer months. A total of less than 20 hours. Upon trying to start it this Spring - it would not run. Come to find out it has a plastic cam shaft that had melted. After doing some research, I found that this is a common problem and Ryobi does not provide a replacement cam shaft?
