Today I went into the Running Room to buy a pair of New Balance 1080’s, and was so degraded and condescended that I had my boyfriend go back and return them 10 minutes after I bought them. When I walked in I mentioned to the woman working there that I am training for my first half Ironman, what followed was 20 minutes of her berating me under the guise of giving me advice about all the ways in which I was ill prepared for the half Ironman.
