To start I am disabled and use the Paratransit service. I have never had worse service in any sort of business ever before this company. I call their number and spend the next 15-20 minutes on hold just for someone to answer the call and be a total jerk and less than helpful. I have been nothing but understanding and nice to this company for far too long only to have been literally left in the dark outside of my work for hours until their paratransit service finally decides to show up after I’ve called the hub multiple times... read more
Beyond unreliable service... It seems that the buses run whenever they want to and never on a set consistent schedule. For instance the night before last I got on the 18 @ 9:28pm and then last night it NEVER showed up!! And the next bus didn't come until almost an hour and a half later. I have NEVER seen a transit system run so poorly in my life.
The RTA customer service department is lovely to work with. Any time I've had an issue, they are quick, responsive, listen to my complaint, and truly do look into what went wrong and what can be changed to not have it happen again. If its a simple question, they can quickly answer it over the phone. If its something they need to look into, they reach back out to you within a couple weeks. The RTA staff i have conversed with care about improving all aspects of dayton transit.
