My Mom has been at the Royal Rose Place for over a year, she lived with me for 21 years before that move, so the decision to place her in a Long Term Care facility was very difficult for all of us and mostly for her. Everyone there made it less painful from Administration to Nurses, PSW'S, Enrichment, housekeeping, kitchen staff etc. I even was given counseling to be able to cope with my struggles to be able to help my own Mom. Mom has been here about six months. The Home is run on a skeleton crew. Difficult to find available psw. Even harder to find a nurse. All are pleasant enough but I wonder how much the staff gets to know each individual resident. Supplies are limited, towels, dishware. Staff has a 'going no where in a hurry' attitude and pass the buck at every opportunity. It is a beautiful new building though. Our senior care needs serious attention!!
