When your loved one is admitted to acute/ LTC, or short, it isn't easy. Having over 30 yrs. in healthcare, both acute/chronic I've come to realize it's a team effort. What convinced me before my family member was discharged from acute care, was the advice from a case manager about "Royal Cotuit's" reputation for what we needed. That CM was right. This place is awful. My dearest friend was there for a fall and when they needed help and pressed the button they said waited 1p hours just for a cup of water. it was dirty and just not a place to be
My bother has mobility issues and Most times I visit my brother in the afternoon, he’s sitting in a chair half naked with an undershirt on and a pull up. He’s not even cleaned up from lunch, has food on his undershirt, his chair, and floor beneath him. Many of his brand new clothes we bought for him have gone missing. The nurses aides sit around just staring at their phones. I have complained to the nursing home administrator who was very kind, so we’ll see what happens but overall I would not recommend this place.
