Do not rent from Right Car, Routes, Priceless or Rent A Wreck. You might be tempted by the lower prices but you will receive terrible customer service and no live representative at physical location, only remote. They do not advertise this and are not clear when booking but they do not allow their rentals to be driven out of state. Save yourself the hassle and go with a reputable brand.
My experience with rent a wreck was the worst I’ve had. Once you go to the office to pick up the car. No one is there. It’s all through a screen. They didn’t accept my own insurance because I obviously wsnt prepared with a copy of the complete paperwork from my policy. (Didn’t know I need it one) because my credit card didn’t go through I had to use my bank card and I was ok with that but they charged me extra ok again. They are a complete rip off. They will charge you to verify your OWN insurance… absolute joke of a business. I should have listened to the old folks complaining in the lobby when I walked in but I thought.
They are a scam! Rented many rentals without issues using my USAA insurance! I drove 1 hr to pick up a rental at Routes Car rental (IAH). When I got here it's was a kiosk and eventually got to speak with a virtual assistant and showed proof on insurance (which is have some many times) and Routes virtual assistant said they won't take my insurance and I would need to pay an additional $700!! STAY AWAY!!
0 STARS!!! This was the worst experience renting a car in over 20 years of driving. Houston airport location. Please, please, please report them on BBB so it can be brought to attention of the state and leave a review on here to alert other inquiring customers.
