Worst experience at a car rental company EVER. Booked and pre-paid over $350 for a car. Waited in line for over an hour to get to the counter on a weekday morning. Counter staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Was informed I would not be permitted to drive the car to New York state from Montreal - less than an hour away. Declined to take the rental. They then refused to refund my money. Unbelievable. Stay away and book with a more reputable company.
Cant give zero stars or I would. Horrible company and car rental association. Almost every encounter with them was argumentative and continued underhanded methods for extraction of more dollars for profit, even the shuttle service they would put people into the luggage area without seat belts. And things like, well we wouldn't have charged you more if you just told us you would be going into a different province even though it was only for a few hours. (Are you waiting in the line forever to get your car Leave right away, There is a reason for the wait, because it is a scam 1. you will find a long line at the checkout because the company wants you to buy another insurance, they don't accept Expedia car rental insurance. It seems some Insurance Co are not happy with them. Think about it. 2. They took about 20 pic of the cars (never happened with other company, they know they will get you good). Endless wait, hidden fees, and a vehicle with flat tire I booked with Routes through EconomyBookings because they offered the best rate near Montreal Airport. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The wait at the counter is extremely long: despite having four employees working, the check-in process seemed to take about 45 minutes per customer.
