I was over charged for notary. Found out after the fact that a notary in Baltimore County is not legally allowed to charge more than $8 per signature and $4 each additional copy for the same document. He charged me $17 for notarizing 1 document with one signature. And the MVA wouldn't even accept the notarized document. They wouldn't take the useless notarized document back and refund me the $17.
